A Rose for You … and Crafting for Christmas

Hello Blog Friends!

This rose is for you.  Though my blogging is infrequent, you still pop by each day.  I love that you do this, and I’m very grateful.  Thank you so much for your visits, comments and emails.  This glorious Milly rose is a thank you gift for you  :-)

I hope all is well with you as you find your way to this blog post.  As I type, outside the rain is pelting down and the temperature has fallen the last couple of days.  I’d love to hold on to the last days of Summer, but the forecast is looking like a wet week ahead.  Oh that’s Blighty for you…

But as September is around the corner, I’m beginning to look towards crafting for Christmas.  For my little family, I’m planning to make plenty of Christmas gifts for Jo and Bertie.  Our time together as an adoptive family has, so far, been so busy and tiring that I’ve hardly made anything for them.  But the longer we spend together, the more we get used to each other and the rhythm of our days.  So that I now feel I have more time to devote to crafting.  Which means days in my cabin – hooray!

Today I’ve had a lovely comment from Venetia, asking how to make a gingerbread man garland.  Which has set me thinking that it would be fun to put up some Christmas Craft tutorials over the coming months.

And I know that some of you are still waiting for tutorials for your personal requests.  I will get around to all these!  Sometimes it’s a case of fitting in the time to sew, photograph and write up the tutorials.  At other times it’s a case of having to create a tutorial for whatever inspires me at that time.  I’m sure you understand.  Bear with me – some sewing ideas will find their way to this blog of mine in the coming weeks, especially as school gets under way.

So now it’s over to you.

What would you like to learn to sew for Christmas?

Toys?  Decorations?  Family Gifts?

Let me know in the comments, then I can start to schedule the tutorials over the coming weeks.

What fun!  Let’s all get sewing and crafting for Christmas – yay!

Hey, can you hear that distant sound of bells … ?
