Thank you to everyone who emailed and left comments with ideas for future tutorials. It feels good to have a list of “makes” to write about. I’m loving the opportunity to create whatever it is you want to make! It’s an added bonus that some of your requests are for things we need in our home too, so I can tick off my own “to make” list as well as writing tutorials. Isn’t it great when things come together?
C. over at BPC blog is encouraging us all to make lots more dens this week. If your children are anything like ours, they rarely need encouragement. Given a few cloths, the furniture and everyday objects around them, and in no time at all the little Happies will have a den for their own little world.
This was created early yesterday morning. Very quickly it became some kind of mini castle for the Little Miss, with our boy being employed by her to hook fabrics back into place when they fell or to collect a cushion, or toys for her to use. She knows how to get him working for her!
The rocking chair provides a good building base, whilst the handles of our bureau drawers make great anchors for the play cloths.
An hour later and the location had switched to the garden where they used our beach tent as their base. Later the tent gave us a nice cosy shelter to eat our lunch al fresco, allowing us to stay outdoors all day. I’m so grateful for the mild days we’ve had this week!
Meanwhile, over the last couple of days I’ve worked on a new tutorial which I’ll be posting here on the blog this weekend. Here’s a sneak peek…
Pop back again soon to read the first tutorial created in response to readers requests for things to make.
Happy Weekend to you all
